Our primary focus is support of TB diagnostic test development. We test patients for Mycobacterium tuberculosis using TB diagnostic tests that are still in development. Tests to confirm TB are readily available: our aim is to work with our clients to augment the performance of their diagnostic test, either through improvements in sensitivity and/or specificity, turnaround time or by developing enhanced testing protocols.
 
Our scientists have many years of experience in R&D, diagnostic microbiology and, most specifically, in the TB field. They are able to perform testing using standardised protocols; and can offer valuable advice, suggestions and feedback on results and protocols. We believe that close liaison with our clients is one of our greatest strengths and is key in establishing and maintaining a mutually beneficial relationship. We are able to assist potential clients with ethics approval for studies requiring IRB approval.

Individuals with TB infection (“LTBI” or “latent TB”) harbor dormant Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex organisms in their bodies but are not infectious and do not have symptoms of TB disease. The T-SPOT.TB test is a blood test for TB infection tuberculosis (TB) screening performed in one visit, using one blood collection tube. Whether testing employees in a hospital, students on campus, patients in a physician’s office, or personnel in the military, our TB testing services can help.
